This page explains how my premium lessons work and how you can access them if you choose to support through Patreon.
I use Patreon to handle payments and provide exclusive Portuguese learning materials – so I don’t have to manage payments myself. I’m a one‑woman operation, and I create everything on my own (videos, transcripts, worksheets, interactive exercises, lesson plans, etc.), so it takes time to make each premium lesson. Even when it seems quiet, I’m working hard behind the scenes!
Why is membership monthly instead of a one-time purchase?
1. Because language learning isn’t a one-off thing
Learning Portuguese happens through regular exposure over time: hearing it, reading it, and seeing it used in different contexts. A membership supports that ongoing journey rather than a single download you use once and forget.
2. So I can keep creating, not constantly selling
Your membership allows me to spend my time making new stories, lessons, and comprehensible input materials in European Portuguese. Instead of pushing upgrades or extras, I can focus on building a space where your Portuguese keeps growing naturally.
3. To keep it affordable and low-pressure
A high upfront cost can feel like a huge commitment. Monthly access keeps things more manageable and lets you join without that pressure. You can stay while it’s helping you, and take a break if life gets busy.
4. Because your learning pace matters
Some months you’ll do loads. Other months, not so much – and that’s normal. Membership means the materials are there when you’re ready, whether you’re moving quickly or taking it slow.
At the moment, I don’t offer a fully finished, fixed course by level. I’m continuously creating content, typically releasing one new video lesson per week, along with its accompanying lesson plan and interactive materials, which are unlocked via Patreon.
Access is not lifetime – materials remain available while you’re an active Patreon member, as stated on the website.

🔹 How Patreon Membership Works
Patreon is a membership platform that lets learners unlock additional practice materials on my website. You can:
✔ Purchase individual PDFs – if you only want written exercises for a specific lesson
OR
✔ Become a monthly Patreon member – this unlocks interactive lessons and guided practice right here on the site
👉 The different Patreon tiers do NOT reflect your Portuguese level – they reflect how much access you have to the premium materials I’ve created.
Higher tiers simply unlock more content at once for you; they don’t mean “this is B2 content” or “this is advanced Portuguese”.
📦What’s in each Tier?
- Meia-de-Leite give you access to vocabulary PDF’s (example).
- Sumo de Laranja gives access to PDF text and practice exercises (example).
- Bacalhau com Natas gives the above AND interactive exercises + quizzes + extra guided activities (example).
- You can choose whichever tier matches your current level of practice and support.
This way, you can decide:
• Do I want a few worksheets? (🍊Sumo-de-Laranja)
• Or do I want full guided practice? (🐟Bacalhau-com-Natas)
📍 What Happens After You Join
Once you’re a Patreon member and logged in on this site, the premium links on lesson pages – like PDFs, interactive exercises, and guided practice – will unlock automatically for you.
If you’re not logged in or not in the right tier, those links will stay locked.
You don’t need to come back to this page to access materials – just go to the Premium Learning Hub or specific lessons, and the right resources will appear once you’re logged in.
