🇵🇹 Welcome to the Learning Hub
This is your central library for learning European Portuguese, organised clearly by level and pathway.
Whether you’re starting from zero or already speaking some Portuguese, choose the level that feels right for you and begin there.
Here, you’ll learn through:
- Stories and real-life language
- Listening-based practice
- Clear pronunciation guidance
- Culture is integrated naturally into the lessons
- Comprehensible input designed to build understanding first
You don’t need to memorise long vocabulary lists or translate everything in your head. The focus is on understanding Portuguese as it’s actually spoken in Portugal.
⚠️ Important: I am currently building a structured learning system. There isn’t one complete start-to-finish course yet – new lessons are added regularly. Think of this as a growing library you can learn from step by step, or select a lesson by level/topic.

🧰 Supplementary Lessons
Here is a library of other free lesson posts on this website, which are designed to complement your learning journey. I reference them in the developing structured paths I’m creating. But they will be in this section for easy access.

Vocabulary Posts
Who it’s for:
Anyone who comes across words in conversations and would like to understand the meaning in context.
These are words that have come up in my in-person lessons, so I decided to add a dedicated section on my website.

How to Say Things
Who it’s for:
Anyone looking for guidance on how to express specific things in particular contexts. Think: phrasebook.
My insight: These posts are helpful for looking up something quickly or when you want to prepare for a specific situation. But will not help you become fluent as they rely too much on memorisation rather than understanding what you’re saying. Once the moment is gone, the sentences are gone too.
🧠 How Learning Works Here
I teach through stories, listening, and real-life language.
You don’t need to understand every word – your brain learns through repeated exposure and meaningful context.
Grammar explanations are available, but understanding comes first.

✍️ Want Exercises & Worksheets?
Some learners like extra structure and practice.
Patreon lessons have:
- Downloadable worksheets
- Guided exercises
- Interactive exercises & quizzes
- Extra comprehension activities
These are unlocked through an active monthly paid subscription on Patreon.
🧭Not Sure About Your Level?
Not sure where you fit? Start with a beginner A1 lesson. If it feels too easy, move up to A2. If it feels overwhelming, go back a step to A0. That’s completely normal in language learning.
