Olá! 🌞 In this A0-level Portuguese lesson, we explore the basics of using the verb ser (to be). Two verbs express “to be ” in Portuguese. This video will help you confidently describe what you or others are in simple sentences (occupation). We will look at Ser – I am / you are / he & she is.

a explicadora
a male tutor would be:
“o explicador”

a estudante
a male sudent would be:
“o estudante”

a artista
a male artist would be
“o artista”

médico
a female (medical) doctor would be:
“a médica”
Notice that estudante and artista didn’t change when male or female, only the article changed (o/a).
