What makes these lessons different
Each lesson follows a clear, structured approach to help you really hear European Portuguese:
- 🎧 I read the text slowly first, so you can follow comfortably
- 🎧 Then I read it again at a more natural speed
- 📝 The full text appears on screen as you listen
All lessons feature my colour-coded listening system:
- Underlined text → stressed syllables
- 🔵Blue text → pronunciation changes
- 🔴Red text → sounds that disappear or are reduced
- 🟢Green text → words that link together in real speech
This helps you not only understand Portuguese but also notice how it sounds.

Start here if you are completely new to Portuguese or just beginning your learning journey.
These lessons use very simple vocabulary, short sentences, and clear pronunciation to help you understand European Portuguese from the very beginning.

Start here if you already know some Portuguese but are still building the basics. Some topics may seem unusual for beginners, such as whales, aliens, sleep studies, or the thyroid.
Don’t worry, the language is always simple, in the present tense, and easy to follow.
The aim is to move beyond typical textbook phrases and help you hear natural European Portuguese in a more engaging way.
🌿 A2 Elementary (Upper-Beginner)
For learners who understand simple Portuguese and want to build more confidence.
These lessons introduce more natural sentences and everyday topics, helping you improve your listening step by step.
🌳 B1+ Intermediate
For learners who want to understand more natural speech, longer texts, and real-life topics.
These lessons help you move closer to real spoken European Portuguese.
