This listening exercise introduces one of the most defining moments in modern Portuguese history: A Revolução dos Cravos (Carnation Revolution) of 25 April 1974.
In this lesson, you’ll hear a simplified version about this military-led movement in my country. The movemnt was supported by the people and peacefully brought an end to decades of dictatorship and censorship in Portugal. thus marking the beginning of democracy.
