Bolos Portugueses – Free B1 Listening Exercise

Portugal has a wonderful tradition of cakes and pastries, from the famous Pastel de Nata to regional specialities made with almonds, oranges and other local ingredients.

In this B1 listening lesson, you’ll explore some of the cakes you might come across in Portugal while listening to a short text about their flavours, textures and traditions. It’s also an opportunity to notice how food is closely connected to Portuguese culture and family traditions.

As always, you don’t need to understand every word. Listen first for the general meaning, then listen again and see how much more you can recognise.

So, grab a coffee (or perhaps a Portuguese cake!) and let’s explore os bolos portugueses.
